Nominated for 10 Tony Awards!

Seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their Girls' Night Out, the six men come up with a bold way to make some quick cash. In the process they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun (while revealing all!). This summer, Islanders and CFAs (come-from-aways) alike can experience a genuine Island night of entertainment at The Mack theatre as part of the 2011 Charlottetown Festival. A new show that is uniquely P.E.I. hits the stage with the rousing production, Come-All-Ye.

Starring John Connolly, Patrick Ledwell and a host of other Island performers.

According to the Dictionary of Prince Edward Island English by Professor T.K. Pratt, a "Come-all-ye" [pronounced come all ya] is a no-special-invitation-required party at someone's home where ballads of days gone by and tunes of recent composition are sung with ecstasy and abandon. It's where guests will be welcomed with jokes and merry witticisms and where, according to none other than Lucy Maud Montgomery herself, whiskey may freely flow!

A company of five home-grown Island musicians and storytellers will define - in song and story - the real Island experience. Live music and dancing will be featured in a multi-media event that shows what P.E.I. is like beyond the travel brochures - the passion, musicality and unique sense of humour that distinguishes Islanders from all others.

The Charlottetown Festival announced the new show today with a small sampling of the music, comedy and energy audiences can expect this summer. Come-All-Ye a thoroughly professional, engaging show featuring special guests to ensure that no two shows are the same.

"Those of us who live on Prince Edward Island know that we are disproportionately blessed with exceptional performing artists. All year long we enjoy outstanding music, comedy, dance and story-telling in the pubs, theatres, and small halls that span the province," says Wade Lynch, who, along with musical consultant Donald Fraser, is creating the new show.
