Countdown of PEI’s “Edible Souvenirs”: #2 – Honey Drops

Honibe’s Honey Drops

Honibe’s non-stick Honey Drops, made to dissolve in hot liquid, are an innovative alternative to the sugar cube. Created by PEI-born brothers John and Justin Rowe, the dehydrated, locally sourced honey has been racking up buzz both in Canada and abroad: It won the best new food product in the sweet grocery category at the SIAL d’Or Competition in Paris a few years ago. The brothers even appeared on the popular CBC television show Dragon’s Den to pitch their line of products, which now includes honey lozenges, sprinkles and candies. (They slayed.)

So good, and so good for you. One could even say that the Dowe bothers creation was a “sweet” idea.
