Confederation Bridge – Travel Advisory for May 8th, 2012

The Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest bridge over ice-covered waters connects PEI to the mainland of New Brunswick.

Today, May 8th between 10am and noon there will be a mock accident and rescue of a trapped worker inside of the bridge structure.  There may be a few delays but the bridge will be open to the public during these drills.  The scenario will involve an injured worker from inside the bridge, and emergency response will rescue the injured worker from one of the various manholes on the bridge.
