Join us for morning coffee Feb 1 in support of 12 year old James

Melinda, one of our valued housekeepers, let us know last week that her 12 year old son’s cancer had returned. This time it was in the neck and the spleen. She would need to time off work to travel with him off Island for medical care.

On Wednesday, Melinda and her son James will be traveling to Halifax, Nova Scotia by shuttle. She will overnight at the Ronald McDonald house and James will be admitted to the IWK. On Thursday morning, the skilled doctors at the IWK will remove the lump in James’ neck. Melinda plans on returning Thursday by shuttle service immediately following the surgery.

Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 1st from 7am to 10am, her friends at the Econo Lodge Charlottetown will be holding a coffee fundraiser for James.

We will be giving away free coffee and will be passing around a coffee can for donations to help offset the medical and travel expenses. There will also be a silent auction for a beautiful necklace, generously donated by Sunset Waters.

We hope you can join us.

Sincerely,

George Bassett

From one parent to another, thanks for choosing us!

We get a lot of bookings for sporting events and sports teams. Hockey, ringette, karate, skating, soccer, swimming.. phew! Prince Edward Islands hosts quite a few events and it’s a flurry of activity, especially when trying to find suitable accommodations.

One of our more popular room types is the 3 bedroom guest room. You can fit 6 people comfortably and it also has a fridge and microwave.

On top of the free hot waffles and breakfast in the morning, free local and long distance calling, it’s one of the ways the Econo Lodge Charlottetown provides busy parents an affordable, stress-free stay. Depending on the number of children traveling, 2 families can share one room. Now that’s a catch!

So this shout out is for all the parents that travel throughout the year with their child as they follow their sports aspirations.

Make your reservation with us, check-in and relax… we’ll take care of you!
